N Chandrasekaran will remain the chairman of Tata Sons till 2027.
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran will step down from the post of director and chairman of Tata Chemicals from 29 May 2025. The company on Wednesday (May 28) informed the stock markets (BSE-NSE) in the filing.
The board replaced N Chandrasekaran, the current director S.K. Padmanabhan has been appointed as the new chairman of Tata Chemicals. His term on this post will be effective from 30 May 2025.
It was a privilege to chair the board
The company’s board of directors have formally taken their resignation after a letter from Chandrasekaran. Chandrasekaran wrote in the letter, ‘I have decided to withdraw from the board after carefully evaluating my current and future commitments.
It has been a good fortune for me to preside over the Tata Chemicals Board and I am heartily grateful for support and cooperation during my tenure. Chandrasekaran led the Tata Chemicals as the Chairman of the Strategic Transition and Re-Allegation within the Tata Group.
N Chandrasekaran will remain the chairman of Tata Sons till 2027. He was made the chairman of Tata Sons in 2017.
Modan Saha became the additional director of the company
Apart from this, the company also approved the appointment of Modan Saha as Additional Director (Non Executive, Non -Independent) based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. His term on this post will be effective from May 28, 2025.
