Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has described Artificial Intelligence (AI) as the biggest technology in human history. He has presented the draft of Reliance’s AI manifesto by sending a message to the employees.
Ambani said in his message that the world has so far seen only the ‘tip of the iceberg’ (a small glimpse) of the capabilities of AI.
AI, along with other breakthrough technologies, has the power to solve many of the most complex problems facing humanity, he said.
Every Indian will get cheap AI
Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Industries has started the path of transforming itself into an ‘AI-native deep-tech company’. He said about the main resolution of Reliance that ‘Affordable AI is available to every Indian, so that every aspect of the economy and life in India can be changed.
In the 48th Annual General Meeting, Mukesh Ambani had announced partnership with Google and Meta to transform Reliance with the help of AI.
Drafts divided into two parts
Mukesh Ambani has divided the draft into two parts. The first part is on changing the way of working inside Reliance with AI. The second part will be on India’s AI transformation through the company’s business and philanthropy. Ambani said that Reliance has led India’s digital revolution, now it will lead in AI.
4 main points of Mukesh Ambani’s AI manifesto
- Reliance to become ‘AI-native deep-tech company’: The company has resolved to transform itself into an advanced manufacturing company that will keep AI at the center of everything it does.
- Affordable AI for every Indian: The main objective of Reliance is to make AI so affordable that it is available to every Indian, thereby changing every aspect of the country’s economy and life.
- Big change in work: The company will improve internal working using AI. It will be based on 4 pillars of ‘Outcomes, Workflow, Platforms and Governance’. Additionally, work will be organized through small and accountable “pods” (cross-functional teams).
- Expanding AI reach through Jio and Retail: The manifesto states that Jio’s 500 million customers and Reliance Retail’s nationwide network will be used to expand the reach and impact of AI in India, especially in areas such as green energy, healthcare and technological self-reliance.
