The employee working in the UCO Bank has written an internal email, making serious allegations on his zonal head, which has gone viral on social media. The employee has accused the bank’s Chennai Zonal Head RS Ajit of promoting dictatorship, derogatory and insensitive work place culture.
Email claims that employees are not given a holiday even at the time of crisis and their problem is mocked. When a branch head asked for a holiday on the death of the mother, the manager said ‘Do not do much drama, I will not come to the office or I will put the leave without pay (LWP)’.
The employee has complained to the managing director (MD) of the bank via email. The employee has said in his complaint that the zonal manager is behaving like RS Ajit slaves.

- The mother of a branch head was in ICU. On asking for leave, ZM said- First tell when you will come back, then I will give the holiday.
- The mother of another branch head died. ZM said- Everyone’s mother dies. Do not drama, be practical. Join immediately or else I will mark the LWP. The official letter was later issued against the brunch head.
- A one -year -old daughter of a branch head was hospitalized. ZM said- Are you a doctor? Why be in the hospital? Go to the office immediately or else I will mark the LWP.
- The wife of a branch head was discharged to be hospitalized in critical condition. ZM said- you are useless.
Users wrote- Discipline rot without humanity
After viral email, people on social media called such an event barbaric and dictatorship and demanded to interfere in the case by tagging institutions like Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Finance Ministry. A user wrote, discipline without humanity is rot.
A user named Vikas Arora wrote, ‘This is happening because all these banks used to be lazy earlier and now everyone has to work. This cruelty is wrong, but now that the sleeping people have to awaken, they remember their old lazy and lethargy habits. This cruelty is also wrong and a permanent solution must be found.
Satyam Yadav wrote, ‘This has happened to me, my father was hospitalized. I asked BM leave, but he did not give. Said that I am doing drama, making excuses. A few days later my father passed away. I said, ‘Sir, father has passed away, I am going to the village.’ He said, ‘Ja, your daily wage has started.’
