Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 157th birth anniversary, recalling his contribution to India and urging citizens to embrace the ideals of Swadeshi by buying at least one Khadi product on Gandhi Jayanti.
In a video message shared alongside his post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi reflected on Gandhi’s contribution to India and emphasised the importance of promoting locally made products. He urged citizens to purchase something made of Khadi as a way of honouring Gandhi’s legacy.
“May Bapu’s timeless message keep guiding us towards a better society and a Viksit Bharat,” PM Modi said in his post on X.
