JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Once started, all eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website, jkssb.nic.in.

The Jammu and Kashmir Staff Selection Board (JKSSB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 669 Sub-Inspectors (SI) in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department. As per the official schedule, the application for recruitment will begin on December 3 and will conclude on January 2, 2025. Once started, all eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website, jkssb.nic.in.

JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

— The applicants must be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

— To prove their claim, they must have a certificate issued on or before January 2, 2025.

— Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institute.

— They must be between 18 and 20 years of age, while age relaxation will be given to those in the service personnel.

— Applicants must also meet the physical standard requirement as mentioned in the notification.

Step 2: After reaching the homepage, click on the recruitment link.

Step 3: Log in to the account and proceed with the application process.

Step 4: Fill in all the information accurately and upload the necessary documents.

Step 5: Pay the application fee and click on submit.

Step 6: Save the form and take a printout for future reference.

JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Application Fee

To apply, candidates belonging to the unreserved categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 700, while those belonging to the SC, ST-1, ST-2, and EWS categories are required to pay Rs 600.

JKSSB Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

The selection process for JK Police SI recruitment involves several stages – a written examination, a Physical Standards Test (PST), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Document Verification Round and a Medical Examination Round. The written exam will have objective-type questions. 0.25 marks will be deducted for any wrong attempt. Notably, the holders of a National Cadet Corps (NCC) ‘C’ certificate will receive 5 per cent bonus marks. NCC ‘B’ certificate holders are entitled to 3 per cent bonus marks, whereas NCC ‘A’ certificate holders are eligible for 2 per cent bonus points.
