The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has released its prospectus for the 2025–26 academic session and opened admissions for a wide range of distance and online mode programmes. Eligible candidates can apply through the official portal at jmi.ucanapply.com.
The prospectus was unveiled last week by JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, in the presence of CDOE Dean Prof. M. Moshahid Alam Rizvi and members of the Prospectus Committee, the university stated.
Wide Range of Programmes, New Additions
This year’s admission cycle covers postgraduate degrees in Hindi, Urdu, English, Education, Geography, History, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Commerce, MBA, and MA in Human Resource Management.
Undergraduate courses include BEd, BA, BCom, BBA, and BCIBF. The centre is also offering postgraduate diplomas in Guidance and Counselling and Geoinformatics, alongside advanced diplomas in seven specialised areas, namely Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Public Policy and Governance, International Relations and Global Governance, Educational Media Production, Mass Media in Hindi, Mass Media in Urdu, and Taxation.
Two new certificate programmes in Information Technology and Computer Hardware and Network Technology have been introduced this year.
Application Deadlines
Candidates can access the detailed prospectus and application forms through the JMI Controller of Examinations website at jmicoe.in. Applications for non-entrance test programmes will remain open until 31 August 2025, while MBA and B.Ed. applicants, for which entrance tests are mandatory, must apply by 21 August 2025.
The prospectus provides comprehensive details on admission procedures, course structures, and learner support services.
Highlighting the importance of expanding access, Vice Chancellor Prof Mazhar Asif said, “The aim should be to reach learners in all regions,” urging the centre to strengthen its learner support base across the country in line with the National Education Policy.
