Pakistan has stopped gas supply to the homes of Indian diplomats in Islamabad. Apart from this, local gas cylinder suppliers have also been instructed not to sell cylinders to Indian diplomats.
According to India Today report, Islamabad has also stopped the supply of mineral water and newspaper. Pakistan has taken this decision as a revenge action after India’s Operation Sindoor.
According to the report, the move is part of Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI’s plan. Under this, Pakistan is taking small actions of revenge.
Pakistan has done such acts before. Even after India’s surgical strike in response to the Pulwama attack in 2019, Pakistani officials had harassed Indian diplomats in a similar way.
As a retaliation, India has also stopped delivering the newspapers to Pakistani diplomats posted in New Delhi.

This step of Pakistan is a violation of Vienna Convention
The decision to stop Pakistan’s gas, water and newspaper is a violation of Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961).
According to Article 25 of the Convention, the host country has to provide all facilities for the smooth work of the diplomatic mission.
Pakistan deliberately stopped this basic supply and hindered the work of the mission and everyday life of diplomats.
The aim of the convention is to work without fear and intervention. These actions of Pakistan are trying to create an atmosphere of fear and pressure directly.
There were demonstrations outside the Indian High Commission in April
India postponed the Indus Water Agreement after the Pahalgam attack. A crowd of locals created a ruckus outside the Indian High Commission to protest against the verdict.
During this time, some people also tried to get into the gate and also raised anti -India slogans. Pakistan was accused of deliberately lifted security from outside the Indian High Commission.
