Indian Railways is going to launch the new beta version of IRCTC website on 15th July. In this updated portal, the option of captcha and pop-ups for train ticket booking has been removed.
This will make online ticket booking easier and will also take less time. Apart from this, the availability of seats of all classes will also be visible on the same screen.
Gave live demo to MNIT Jaipur students
Ahead of the launch, on Friday, IRCTC and Center for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) officials showed a live demo of this new beta version to the students of Malviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) in Jaipur.
Railway officials have also sought feedback from students to further improve the user experience of the platform before its public release.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had given assurance
The background of this entire change is a few weeks old. Actually, the students of MNIT Jaipur met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and told him about the shortcomings and problems of the existing IRCTC website.
At that time the Railway Minister had asked the students to make changes in the portal by July 15. Fulfilling the same promise, Railways had specially called these students for review before the launch.
