US-Iran War News Live Updates: Amid ongoing diplomatic discussions involving Iran and Western nations, as well as renewed regional efforts aimed at easing tensions in West Asia, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said dialogue with other nations would not come at the cost of Iran’s sovereignty or legal rights, asserting that Tehran would continue negotiations with “dignity” and “authority.”
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said, “Dialogue does not mean surrender. The Islamic Republic of Iran enters into dialogue with dignity, authority, and the preservation of the nation’s rights, and under no circumstances will it retreat from the legal rights of the people and the country. We will serve the people with logic and with all our might, to the end, and safeguard the interests and honor of Iran.”
Pezeshkian’s statement underscored Tehran’s position that negotiations would continue without compromising the country’s national interests.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said he had delayed a possible attack on Iran after requests from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE, which believe negotiations with Tehran are nearing a deal.
