Iran US War Ceasefire News Live Updates: Trump’s 72-Hour Ultimatum To Iran Raises Fears Of Fresh West Asia Conflict

US-Iran War News Live Updates: Tensions in West Asia have sharply escalated after US President Donald Trump gave Iran “two to three days” to finalise a deal, while warning that military action remained an option.

Trump said he was “an hour away” from approving fresh strikes on Iran before postponing the attack following requests from three Arab states in the Persian Gulf. He later said he expected a deal soon and predicted that oil prices would “come plummeting down”.

US Vice President JD Vance said both sides had already made “a lot of progress” in negotiations, although he added that Iran’s exact negotiating position remained unclear.

Iran warns US against return to war

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran had gained military experience from earlier confrontations.

“A return to war will feature many more surprises,” Araghchi said, as diplomatic talks continued under growing pressure.

The developments have created a high-stakes confrontation between Washington and Tehran, with a 72-hour diplomatic window now in focus.

Israeli strikes kill 9 in Lebanon

Meanwhile, Israeli air strikes on the southern Lebanon district of Nabatieh killed nine people despite an existing ceasefire, according to reports.

The latest deaths have pushed the toll from Israeli attacks in Lebanon since March 2 to 3,042.
