Batting in India’s first innings
The first day of the Colombo Test (23 August) was in the name of the Indian team. Devdutt Padikkal played a brilliant inning of 117 runs for Team India, which won the toss and came to bat first. Padikkal faced 193 balls and hit 12 fours and scored a century in the second consecutive Test match.
