Chasing 302, the hosts were 148/4 after 27.4 overs when rain and lightning interrupted play. The match could not resume thereafter, and India were awarded the victory via the DLS method. The match has been halted due to rain. In the first innings, RS Ambrish and Harvansh Pangalia stitched a solid partnership of 140 runs for the fifth wicket to help India U19 post a total of 301. Big names like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Aaron George failed to play noticeable knocks, but the duo of Ambrish and Pangalia put India U19 back on track from 67 for 4. Ambrish scored 65, while Harvansh smashed 93. Vaibhav Suryavanshi is leading India in the series in the absence of regular skipper Ayush Mhatre and vice-captain Vihaan Malhotra, who are out due to wrist injuries. Earlier, South Africa captain Muhammad Bulbulia won the toss and opted to bowl against India.
