The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITG) has announced the launch of three fully residential Postgraduate Diploma Programmes, each lasting six months. The programmes include a PG Diploma in AI and Agentic AI Engineering, a PG Diploma in GenAI and Data Science Engineering, and a PG Diploma in AI-Powered Software Engineering with Cloud.

Offered by the IIT Gandhinagar Competency Development Foundation in partnership with M/s. Futurense Technologies, these programmes adopt a selection-based admission model rather than open enrollment. Each programme accommodates only 60 students, chosen through the All India National Proficiency Test (AINPT) and a multi-stage interview process.

Additionally, the course “is open for a selected group of high potential, high energy and curious candidates.” Selected students will fully experience residential life at IIT Gandhinagar, receiving mentorship from IIT faculty and industry leaders from Fortune 500 companies. They will engage in over 600 hours of bootcamp-style immersive learning.

The pedagogy features several innovative initiatives, including extensive projects through an AI clinic, an ideas lab, product deconstruction and backward engineering, problem-solving, AI-led application building, competitive coding, and more, to cultivate future skills.

Graduates of these exclusive programmes will receive 100 per cent placement support, contingent on consistent performance throughout the programme. They will attain Executive Alumni status and gain access to a network of top achievers from IITs, according to the official press release.

“At IIT Gandhinagar, our mission is to build future-ready talent for and from India, professionals who do not just learn technology but apply and create with it. These programs combine real-world engineering depth, hands-on innovation, and a fully immersive IIT campus experience that shapes the next generation of India’s tech workforce,” said Prof. Rajat Moona, Director of IIT Gandhinagar.

“IIT Gandhinagar represents the new generation of India’s IITs, agile, applied, and innovation-first. Through this collaboration, we are building engineers who can think in systems, not silos,” said Raghav Gupta, Founder & CEO, Futurense.
