Hindu Dharam: क्या आज भी कैलाश पर्वत पर मौजूद हैं भगवान शिव? जानें इस स्थान का रहस्य

Hindu Dharam: Is there a place in the world where it is said that time changes its speed? Where people who reach there feel their hair and nails growing faster than normal.

Would you believe that the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest, whose height is about 8,849 meters, has been conquered by thousands of climbers. But there is also a mountain whose height is about 2,200 meters less than Everest i.e. about 6,638 meters. Despite this, till date no person has succeeded in climbing its peak. Whoever tried to conquer it faced difficulties. Some returned due to bad weather and some’s journey stopped midway.

hindu religion Mount Kailash is considered to be the abode of Lord Shiva. It also has special importance in Buddhism. Kailash is also considered very sacred in Jainism and Tibetan Bon tradition. But in local beliefs many mysterious stories are also associated with it. Some call it the abode of the gods, while others talk about the existence of some secret city around it. Today we are talking about the mysterious Mount Kailash located in Tibet. A mountain which is not just made of stones and ice, but with which countless mysteries and religious beliefs have been associated for centuries.

Why is it so difficult to climb Kailash?

As soon as we hear the name of Mount Kailash, a huge, almost pyramid-shaped mountain covered with snow appears in front of our eyes. But Kailash is not just a center of faith. Its geographical location and natural structure also make it very special. After all, why is it so difficult to climb Mount Kailash?

One reason is its extremely difficult geographical conditions. The altitude here is very high, the weather can change rapidly, the routes are difficult and icy conditions make mountaineering extremely risky. But now the question is that when man has reached the highest peak in the world like Everest, then why could he not reach the peak of Kailash?

The answer to this is hidden not only in religious faith but also in history. In the 20th century, many foreign mountaineers showed interest in climbing Kailash. In some missions, efforts had to be halted due to bad weather and difficult conditions. In many stories related to Kailash, there is mention of sudden worsening of weather, disorientation and unusual experiences during the climb. However, independent and scientific evidence of many of these incidents is not available. That is, many of the things that make Kailash more mysterious are based on local beliefs and stories of mountaineers.

Do people age faster on Kailash?

It is said that some people visiting the Kailash region noticed that their hair and nails were growing faster than normal. Such stories are also available on the internet in which it is claimed that a person becomes old in a few hours on Kailash. This is sometimes called Rapid Aging. But it is very important to understand one important thing here.

Till date, there is no reliable scientific evidence available to prove that the age of humans on Mount Kailash increases many times faster than normal or that the speed of time changes there. In high altitude areas, low oxygen, extreme cold, physical stress, dehydration and changing environment can definitely affect the body. But this cannot be considered as evidence of sudden increase in age by decades. Yet these unverified stories definitely deepen the mystery of Kailash.

Did the mountaineers themselves refuse to climb Kailash?

The name of Reinhold Messner, one of the world’s great mountaineers, is also linked to Kailash. He climbed Everest without oxygen. But his stand was different in the case of Kailash. There are many statements regarding Kailash in his name on the internet, but there are different claims regarding his exact words.

However, it is certain that there has been a different kind of relationship between mountaineering and religious sentiments regarding Kailash. It is considered more important to respect the sanctity of Kailash than to conquer it.

Is Kailash not a natural mountain?

Now let us come to one of the biggest mysteries of Kailash. When Kailash is seen from a distance, its shape appears very different. To many people it looks like a huge pyramid. For this reason, it has been claimed from time to time that Kailash may not be an ordinary natural mountain, but a huge pyramid built by an ancient civilization.

Such claims are also made by Russian scientist and eye specialist Dr. Ernest Muldashev. He had presented many controversial hypotheses regarding Kailash. However, these claims are not considered proven facts in mainstream geological science. From geological point of view, Kailash is a natural mountain structure. Nevertheless, its unusual shape has definitely made it a subject of mystery and imagination.

Is Shambhala city inside Kailash?

Another mysterious story related to Kailash is that of Shambhala. Shambhala is mentioned in Tibetan Buddhist traditions as a spiritual and mystical land. With time many stories related to this became popular. In some stories it was described as a secret place where perfect men live. Some modern claims even say that there is a secret city or a network of tunnels inside Mount Kailash.

But no evidence has been found of the existence of any such golden city or secret civilization inside Kailash. That is, the story of Shambhala is certainly important in religious and spiritual traditions, but it would not be scientifically correct to consider it a certified geographical place.

Mystery of Om and Swastika on Kailash

One of the most popular beliefs associated with Kailash is the Om-like figure visible on the mountain. In many photographs, the structure of the snow and rocks of Kailash is visible in such a way that people see the form of Om in it.

Some people also associate the shadow of the mountain in the evening with a Swastika-like shape. For devotees it is like a symbol of Lord Shiva. But it is not unusual to see different shapes in natural mountain formations. Different shapes can be seen due to light, snow, rock structure and camera angle. Therefore, it is more appropriate to see it as religious faith and natural coincidence rather than scientific evidence.

Is Kailash the center of the earth?

Another claim related to Kailash is very popular. It is said that Kailash is seen as Axis Mundi, i.e. the axis of the earth or the center of the universe. But here too it is important to understand a difference.

Axis Mundi is not a scientific geographical term on the basis of which Kailash has been declared the real center of the Earth. It is a concept used in different cultures as a symbol of the cosmic or spiritual center. Kailash has been given spiritual importance as the center of the universe in many religious traditions.

The distance to the North Pole of 6666 kilometers and the distance to the South Pole of 13,332 kilometers are also claimed on the internet, but this cannot be considered as proof of the special scientific status of Kailash.

Does Yeti protect Kailash?

Another exciting story related to Kailash is that of Yeti or Snowman. Yeti folklore has been prevalent in many areas of the Himalayas and Tibet for centuries. Stories of seeing big footprints and mysterious creatures are also heard in the Kailash region. Some people believe that this is some mysterious creature that protects Kailash. But till date no conclusive scientific evidence of the existence of Yeti has been found. Therefore, Yeti is currently considered a part of the folklore and mysterious traditions of the Himalayas.

Mystery of Manasarovar and Rakshas Tal

Now let us talk about the two famous lakes located near Kailash, Manasarovar and Rakshas Tal. Both the lakes are very close to each other, but their nature is described as completely different in religious beliefs. Manasarovar is considered a symbol of sacred and positive energy. In Hindu religion, it is considered to be associated with Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati.

On the other hand, Rakshasa Taal is associated with Ravana. It is believed that Ravana did penance for Lord Shiva here. The water of Manasarovar is sweet, whereas the water of Rakshas Tal is salty. There are natural and geological reasons behind the difference in size and hydrochemistry of these two lakes. However, from the religious point of view the importance of both is completely different.

Mysterious sounds coming from Kailash

Many travelers claim that sometimes sounds are heard in the Kailash region, which sound like a drum or some resonating sound. Devotees associate it with the sound of Lord Shiva’s Damru. From the scientific point of view, air pressure in the mountains, structure of rocks, sliding of snow and echo of sound in the surrounding valleys can be the reason for such sounds. That means faith and science look at the same incident from their own perspectives.

Did Milarepa reach the peak of Kailash?

One of the most famous stories related to the history of Kailash is that of Tibetan Buddhist yogi Milarepa. It is said that in the 11th century, Milarepa took part in a spiritual contest on Kailash. According to the story, he had a competition with another seeker as to who would reach the peak of Kailash first.

It is said that the second seeker used his spiritual powers, while Milarepa remained sitting in meditation and finally reached the summit through spiritual power. This story is not a historically attested mountaineering record, but is part of Tibetan religious tradition. The message of this story is very beautiful, it is not necessary to conquer Kailash with the body, but to bow before it with the mind and soul is the biggest achievement.

Kailash is sacred for four religions

The most special thing about Kailash is that it is not sacred only for Hindu religion. In Hindu religion it is considered the abode of Lord Shiva. In Buddhism, Kailash has cosmic significance and is associated with Buddha Demchok. In Jainism, Kailash area is associated with Ashtapada, where the salvation of the first Tirthankar Rishabhdev is believed. In Buddhism also, Kailash is considered a very holy and powerful place. Kailash is a major center of four different religious traditions and faith. Perhaps this is its biggest feature.
