The Himachal Pradesh government has declared a holiday in all educational institutions, both government and private, till September 7 in view of the continuous heavy rainfall across the state.
The decision was taken by the state education department considering the safety of students and staff amid the prevailing weather conditions.
Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar issued the official order on Wednesday, directing that all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions remain closed until further notice.
