The country’s largest private bank HDFC on Saturday (July 20) released the results for Q1FY25 i.e. the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024-25. In the April-June quarter, HDFC Bank’s standalone net profit increased by 35.33% year-on-year to ₹ 16,175 crore. In the same quarter last year, it was ₹ 11,951.77 crore.

However, the net profit of the bank has decreased by 2.04% on a quarterly basis. In the previous quarter (Q4 FY24), the bank’s profit was Rs 16,511.85 crore. At the same time, the total income of the bank in the June quarter increased by 44.77% year-on-year to Rs 83,701.25 crore, which was Rs 57,816.67 crore in the same quarter last year. At the same time, the bank’s income has increased by 6.62% on a quarterly basis.

Bank’s net interest income increased by 50%
HDFC Bank’s net interest income (NII) in the June quarter increased by 50.31% on an annual (YoY) basis to Rs 73,033.14 crore. On a quarterly basis, the bank’s net interest income increased by 2.18%. The size of the bank’s total balance sheet in the June quarter was Rs 356.72 crore, which was Rs 250.17 crore in the first quarter of last year.

Total deposit stood at Rs 237.91 crore
The bank’s total deposits in the first quarter stood at Rs 237.91 crore, an increase of 24.4% over the same quarter last year. The bank’s CASA deposits grew by 6.2%, including savings account deposits of Rs 59.64 crore and current account deposits of Rs 26.73 crore. The bank’s gross advances stood at Rs 248.69 crore, an increase of 52.6% over the same quarter last year.

HDFC Bank shares gave 12.45% return in six months
On Friday, HDFC Bank’s stock fell 0.61% to close at Rs 1,605. With this, the company’s market cap has reached Rs 12.23 lakh crore. In the last six months, the bank’s stock has given 12.45% return to its investors.
