A group of men rallied in cars in support of Gurgaon hit and run accused Kalyan Singh Bainsla days after a video of the alleged incident involving biker Shivani Chauhan went viral.

Days after a video of a road incident involving Gurgaon hit-and-run accused Kalyan Singh Bainsla went viral, a group of men were seen driving together in cars in his support on Friday.

A video circulating on social media showed several cars travelling together on a flyover in Haryana. A post on X supporting Bainsla said, “Full support to Gurjar Kalyan Bainsla. Come face-to-face once and call him a thug, bro.” A mahapanchayat was also called in support of the accused.

Bainsla has been accused of chasing and ramming a motorcycle ridden by Shivani Chauhan on Golf Course Road on Sunday. Police said he was allegedly returning from a club with his friends when the incident took place.

What Happened On Golf Course Road?

According to investigators, Bainsla and the others had been at The Empire club at MGF Metropolitan Mall on MG Road on Saturday. Bainsla had reportedly borrowed a Maruti Ciaz from a friend for the outing.

Police said they are still investigating whether Bainsla or the other accused had consumed alcohol before the incident.

Shrikant, an associate of Bainsla, was also allegedly travelling in the car. Police sources said co accused Lavnish allegedly encouraged Bainsla to follow Chauhan and also abused her during the confrontation.

Investigators said the car followed Chauhan for around 2 km after Bainsla allegedly asked her to stop. When she refused and instead signalled the driver to move away, the car allegedly rammed her motorcycle.

Accused Taken To Spot For Reconstruction

On Thursday, police took Bainsla and Lavnish to the location to reconstruct the events leading up to the incident. Investigators had sought two days of custody for the exercise.

A local court had on Wednesday sent Bainsla and Lavnish to police custody until Friday as the investigation into the incident continued.

The viral video of the incident and the subsequent public gathering in Bainsla’s support have brought further attention to the case, while police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged hit and run.
