Rishika Kukreja from Haryana’s Karnal has secured an all-India rank (AIR) of 15 in the UPSC-Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examination 2025. After getting married in 2021, Kukreja took a short break from her studies, however, she remained determined. She experienced failures in her first three attempts but succeeded on the fourth try, marking a significant achievement for her family.

Rishika Kukreja’s Preparation Strategy

She advises others not to give up despite ups and downs, encouraging them to stay focused, engage in spirituality, exercise, and remain persistent in their goals. She feels rewarded for her sacrifices and hopes to bring glory to Karnal and Haryana through her work in the Indian Statistical Service.

“Set your goals clearly and move forward with determination. Stay surrounded by people who motivate you. Hard work, spirituality, exercise, meditation, and even a good motivational song can keep you focused and positive on your journey,” she told The Tribune.

“The process takes time and patience, but with my family’s support, everything became possible,” she added.

The Indian Statistical Service primarily deals with data. When the government introduces any plan or policy, these officers analyse the data, suggest improvements, and direct the initiatives appropriately.

The UPSC announced the final results of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) examinations on October 1. The written exam was conducted from June 20 to 22, 2025, followed by interviews in September 2025. Kashish Kasana has topped the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) exam, with Akash Kumar Sharma in second place and Subhendu Ghosh in third.

Applicants’ marks will be made available on the website within 15 days of the result announcement. A total of 12 candidates’ results have been kept tentative. These candidates will not receive an offer of employment until their original documents are verified and their status is confirmed.
