In a shocking incident from Haryana’s Kurukshetra, a woman allegedly murdered her husband in a brutal knife attack, leaving his abdomen severely mutilated. The woman later jumped off the rooftop of the house after getting caught.
The deceased was identified as Rajesh, a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district, who had been living with his wife Vimla Devi in Kurukshetra for over a year, according to reports. He worked as a water supplier on Pehowa Road.
The incident surfaced after Rajesh and Vimla’s landlord heard the couple shouting at 5 pm. When he rushed to the terrace, he saw Rajesh lying in a pool of blood, while Vimla was allegedly putting his intestines into a bag, according to a report by NDTV.
Upon seeing the landlord, Vimla panicked and jumped from the rooftop. She was injured in the fall and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Post-Mortem Reveals Horrifying Injuries
The extent of the injuries came to light during the post-mortem examination. Rajesh was repeatedly stabbed with knives, and his abdomen had been cut open by 35 cm, causing his intestines to protrude from the body.
The report also found that a substantial portion of his liver and his right kidney were missing. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the brutal attack and the missing organs, along with Vimla and Rajesh’s relationship.
The landlord told police that Vimla was involved in traditional healing and exorcism-related practices, and the couple argued frequently, NDTV reported. The exact motive behind the attack remains unknown. Three knives of different sizes were recovered from the crime scene.
Vimla and Rajesh had been married for several years, but did not bear any children. Police said Rajesh’s body had been handed over to his family members, while the accused will be arrested once her condition improves.
