A Gurugram biker has alleged that a car followed her before hitting her motorcycle and fleeing the spot, with her viral video prompting police action.

A viral video of Gurugram biker Sia alleging that a car followed her before hitting her motorcycle has prompted police action, while her father said he was unaware of the incident until about an hour after it happened.
Speaking about the incident, Sia’s father said he would have gone to the police and filed an FIR himself had he known about the incident earlier. He also expressed relief that his daughter was not injured.
‘I Would Have Filed An FIR Myself’: Sia’s Father
Sia’s father said the incident took place during the day and questioned why the family had not been informed sooner.
“It wasn’t even night; it happened during the day,” he said, adding that the family was fortunate that Sia was unharmed. He said he later asked his daughter why she had not told the family about the incident after returning home.
Sia Alleges Car Followed Her Before Collision
According to Sia, she was riding with a group of bikers on Sunday when a car allegedly began following them repeatedly. She claimed the occupants appeared to be intoxicated and said the driver asked her to stop even though she had asked him to maintain a safe distance.

Footage recorded on an action camera mounted on her motorcycle appears to show the car coming into contact with her bike. Sia alleged that the collision knocked her off the motorcycle, with the bike being dragged for several metres before the car left the spot.
Friend Chased Car, Driver Allegedly Denied Responsibility
Sia said one of her friends chased the vehicle and confronted the driver at a traffic signal. According to her, the driver denied responsibility for the incident and then drove away.
The car’s owner, Manish, has said the vehicle belonged to him but had been borrowed by his friend Kalyan Singh two days earlier. Manish said he was at work when the incident occurred and learnt about it only on Monday morning. He added that Singh did not answer his calls when he tried to contact him.
Police Take Suo Motu Cognisance
Following the video’s circulation on social media, Gurugram Police took suo motu cognisance of the incident. Police said efforts were being made to identify the accused and take action at the earliest.
A case is being registered under relevant sections at Sector 56 police station. Sia has also said she plans to file an FIR with her lawyer and pursue legal action.
Meanwhile, she has thanked people for their support but said she does not wish to reveal her identity or give media interviews at present.
