The Supreme Court on Monday ordered that the GRAP IV restrictions will continue in the national capital until further orders. The remarks came as the city has been battling air pollution for weeks.
The air quality in the national capital, however, improved to ‘poor’, as per the latest CPCB data. At 9 am, Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 281, compared to 318 at 4 pm on Sunday (November 24), Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.
However, 15 of Delhi’s 39 monitoring stations recorded an AQI in the ‘very poor’ category. Shadipur had the worst AQI with a reading of 353.
