A Fox News Digital investigation has identified 101 organisations across 13 countries that it alleges are coordinating, organising or amplifying protests, drawing connections between the unrest in France and youth-led demonstrations in India and other countries.
The investigation, published by Fox News journalist Asra Q Nomani on Tuesday, describes what it calls a transnational “protest ecosystem” comprising communist and socialist organisations, labour unions, student groups, advocacy networks and media outlets. It argues that these groups are helping spread protest messaging across borders and connect movements with different local grievances.
The report, titled Global ‘Chaos Inc’ grows to 101 groups with plans for new rounds of demonstrationsbuilds on an earlier Fox News investigation that identified 50 organisations associated with France’s student protests. The number had risen to 54 by October 19 before reaching 101 in the latest investigation.
How Are India And France Linked?
The Fox News investigation points to Indian Alliance Paris (IAP), a France-based organisation of students, researchers and professionals, as one of the groups connecting French and Indian protest messaging.
According to the report, the organisation has promoted demonstrations in France while drawing parallels with youth protests in India. In one social media post cited by Fox News, it expressed support for young demonstrators in both countries, writing: “to Gen Z: In France. In India. Bravo for today.”
The report also highlights the role of Progressive International, a transnational political organisation that brought together protests in France, Spain, India and Albania in an October 16 briefing. It questioned whether the emerging rebellions could acquire organised political power to change the conditions that produced them.
India’s protests have included demonstrations against the Election Commission, with protesters demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The Neville Roy Singham Connection
A significant part of the Fox News investigation focuses on organisations it associates with Neville Roy Singham, an American-born technology entrepreneur who lives in Shanghai and has been linked to a network of communist and socialist groups.
Among the organisations highlighted are BreakThrough News, CodePink and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. Fox News alleges that these groups have helped amplify protest movements through reporting, social media campaigns and political messaging.
BreakThrough News, in particular, has covered the demonstrations in France and India, presenting them as part of a wider international movement against austerity and government policies.
The investigation also refers to Tricontinental, a research institute led by Vijay Prashad, and its connections to the wider activist network. Prashad drew parallels between protests in Paris, New Delhi and Buenos Aires in an October 18 post on X, writing: “Paris-New Delhi-Buenos Aires” and adding, “Let fury have the hour, anger can be power.”
The report describes these connections as evidence of a network that shares messaging, highlights demonstrations across countries and encourages wider mobilisation.
Separately, the US House Ways and Means Committee subpoenaed BreakThrough News, Tricontinental and the People’s Forum in July 2026, according to an IANS report. The development has brought increased scrutiny to organisations associated with Singham.
France Protests And The Wider Movement
The investigation began with student demonstrations in France over deteriorating school conditions, including complaints about staff shortages and inadequate facilities. Fox News argues that the protests subsequently attracted a wider coalition of labour unions, political parties, socialist and communist organisations, and advocacy groups with broader political objectives.
Its October 20 report says the network now spans 13 countries, with 101 organisations identified as participating in, organising or amplifying protest activity. These categories cover different levels of involvement and should not be interpreted as evidence that every organisation directly coordinates demonstrations.
The report also points to plans for further demonstrations in France on October 24 and a coordinated youth strike scheduled for November 20 across parts of Europe.
While the findings highlight how digital platforms and transnational political networks can help circulate protest messaging internationally, the extent of coordination between individual groups and the influence of these connections on specific demonstrations remain important questions.
The investigation’s allegations about an interconnected network therefore raise questions about the international amplification of protests, but do not establish that the unrest in France and demonstrations in India are being centrally directed by a single organisation.
