In an unusual incident at the Supreme Court on Monday, a person attempted to throw a shoe at CJI BR Gavai during the morning session.

The Navi Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against a social media user for allegedly creating an AI-generated video showing a shoe thrown at Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan Gavai with an attempt to hurt the sentiments of people belonging to the Scheduled Caste.

The development came after the Punjab Police registered multiple FIRs against individuals accused of posting objectionable and casteist remarks against the CJI on social media.

In an unusual incident at the Supreme Court on Monday, a person attempted to throw a shoe at CJI BR You got it during the morning session. The man, who was heard shouting slogans, was quickly escorted out of the courtroom by security personnel.

The individual reportedly shouted, “Sanat Dharam’s Apmaan want will save Hindustan” (“India will not tolerate disrespect towards Sanat Dharma”) while being removed from the courtroom. The man was reportedly dressed in a lawyer’s robe.
