An elderly woman was murdered during a robbery at her home in Delhi’s Nizamuddin area, with police beginning an investigation after the incident was reported on Friday morning.
The woman, who worked as a school teacher and was also associated with an NGO, was found dead at her residence. Police were informed after 8 am when one of her daughters arrived at the house and alerted authorities.
Daughter Finds Mother Dead At Home
The woman had two married daughters who lived nearby and visited her every day to look after her.
One of the daughters reached the house in the morning and discovered the incident before informing the police. The exact circumstances surrounding the murder and robbery are being investigated.
Body Handed Over After Postmortem
The incident is being investigated by police at Nizamuddin police station. A case has been registered in connection with the murder, and further investigation is underway.
After the postmortem examination, the woman’s body was handed over to her family.
