Eddie Hearn Nears Dana White Showdown As Misfits Revises Its M Fight Offer In New Update On Proposed Bout

Eddie Hearn is edging closer to settling his rivalry with Dana White inside a boxing ring, and Misfits Boxing promoter Kalle Sauerland says terms are nearly in place. Sauerland has been working to set up the unusual showdown and says talks with the Matchroom chief have gone well. The first proposal was a $20 million winner-takes-all purse, but the money has now changed to $10 million for each man. White has the written proposal too, though Sauerland is still waiting on an answer from the UFC boss.

Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland are close to agreeing terms for a potential boxing match

Sauerland gave a fresh update on the talks in an interview with IFL TV, and it sounds like Hearn is fine with most of the proposed conditions.

He didn’t say a contract had been signed, but he sounded confident about getting a deal done with the Matchroom boss.

“With Eddie, we’re not far off. I think he’d confirm that if you ask him, on the terms,” Sauerland said.

Still, a few details need sorting before anything gets finalised.

“There’s a couple of loops, but we’re close. We’re very close with Eddie, and Dana’s had it in writing.”

Sauerland went to both promoters directly instead of just floating the idea in public. But White hasn’t given him an answer to the written offer yet.

The original $20 million winner-takes-all offer has changed to a guaranteed $10 million each

The money side has been revised since Sauerland first pitched the fight.

His original offer had $20 million on the table, with all of it going to whoever won. The newer version drops the winner-takes-all condition and gives Hearn and White a guaranteed $10 million payday each.

Sauerland first talked about the huge purse publicly in October, when he proposed a six-round contest with two-minute rounds.

The two promoters have been feuding all year, especially after White entered boxing through Zuffa Boxing. Their disagreements also touched the promotional arrangements around Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua.

Sauerland even joked that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was already booked for Hearn vs. White, supposedly for day after Fury and Joshua’s planned December fight.

That was a joke and not an official venue announcement. With White yet to respond, the fight still needs a yes from both sides.
