The Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections have commenced today, September 27, 2024. The DUSU Polls 2024 are being held for the election of president, vice president, secretary, and joint secretary of the student union. This year, a total of 21 candidates are contesting across the four central panel positions. According to the official announcement, only students who were admitted to Delhi University by September 25, 2024 (5:00 PM) are eligible to vote in the elections. The University has made special provisions for the first-year students who have not yet received their identity cards, special provisions have been made to ensure they can still exercise their right to vote.
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on Thursday barred the Delhi University from counting votes until it satisfies the court that all posters, hoardings, graffiti, and other campaign-related materials have been removed and public property has been restored
