A case of pressurizing a girl for religious conversion by luring her into a love trap has come to light in Jankipuram area of Lucknow. The girl’s family has made serious allegations regarding this incident and there was an uproar outside the police station. The family alleges that a young man named Nafees Khan befriended the girl by revealing his name as Raju. Gradually he trapped the girl in his love web. According to the girl’s family, on February 21, the accused took her away with him. After this the family lodged a complaint at Jankipuram police station.
After the complaint, the police took action and recovered the girl on 22 February and handed her over to the family. However, the family says that even after this the accused Nafees continued contacting the girl. According to the family, on March 6, the accused again took the girl with himself. It is alleged that during this time he forcibly pressurized the girl to convert to religion. Meanwhile, the girl called her brother-in-law and asked for help. He told that he was being forced to change his religion.
Befriended a girl by changing her name
The family says that the police first recovered the girl, but did not take any strict action against the accused. Regarding this, the family members reached the police station on Sunday. He said that action should be taken in the matter. When they were not heard, the family members along with RSS and Bajrang Dal workers started protesting outside the police station late in the night. Seeing the increasing protest, the police became active and late in the night a case was registered in the case.
Police registered the case and started investigation
According to the police, a case has been registered on the basis of the complaint and the entire matter is being investigated. However, the family alleges that even after the case has been registered, the accused Nafees and his acquaintances are threatening to kill them and intimidating the girl. According to DCP North Zone Gopal Chaudhary, a case has been registered on behalf of the woman and further action is being taken after investigating the matter.
