Several students reported abnormal fee amounts appearing on the board’s portal while applying for photocopies of evaluated answer sheets during the CBSE re-evaluation process.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has sought a report from the CBSE following complaints by students and parents over technical issues during the re-evaluation process, sources said.
The move comes after many Class 10 and 12 students reported failed payment transactions, website crashes and delays while applying for verification of marks and re-evaluation following the declaration of CBSE board results earlier this month.
The officials have been asked to explain the reasons behind the glitches, the preparedness measures in place and the accountability of agencies managing the process.

Several students reported abnormal fee amounts appearing on the board’s portal while applying for photocopies of evaluated answer sheets during the CBSE re-evaluation application process.
Under CBSE rules, students are required to pay Rs 100 per subject for answer sheet photocopies. However, on the fourth day of the application window, several users claimed that the fee displayed on the portal changed drastically within hours.
Screenshots shared on social media showed charges rising from a few rupees to unusually high amounts, including Rs 8,000, Rs 67,000 and even Rs 69,420 per subject. Students and parents questioned whether the portal had been compromised or affected by a technical glitch.
Many users also alleged that the fluctuating fee amounts prevented them from completing applications smoothly.
Amid the complaints, CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta on Friday announced an extension of the re-evaluation application deadline by one day, from May 23 to May 24.
