In the last financial year (2024-25), India’s total export reached all-time high of Rs 72.71 lakh crore.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal has claimed that despite the American tariff, India will have more exports than last year. Piyush Goyal has said this at an event in Delhi.
Piyush Goyal said that we have to make our export basket and big. So that the unilateral decision of any one country does not affect. He hopes that domestic demand will also get boost from GST reform. He also said that no sector has done any cry about tariffs so far.
Will take many measures to promote exports
In the last financial year (2024-25), India’s total exports reached $ 824.9 billion i.e. 72.71 lakh crore rupees on all-time high. Goyal said that the government will soon bring many measures to promote exports.
Goyal further said that talks on FTA with the European Union are going on to increase export. Qatar, New Zealand, Peru and Chile will also be dealt with soon. Currently, there is not a matter of special concern due to US tariff.
We will neither bend nor look weak ever

The Minister of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry further said that we will continue to move forward and increase our reach in new markets. Goyal said that he can say with full confidence that India’s export will be more than last year.
Total export in FY25 was ₹ 72.71 lakh crore
The government has targeted an export of $ 1 lakh crore in the current financial year 2025-26. The data so far showed that in July 2025, the total exports stood at $ 68.25 billion i.e. 6.01 lakh crore rupees. This is more than $ 65.31 billion (Rs 5.75 lakh crore) in the same month of last year.
According to government data, in the last financial year, India’s total exports were $ 824.9 billion, or $ 72.71 lakh crore, on high high. It was a growth of 6.01% compared to an export of $ 778.1 billion of 2023-24.
