Delhi University has confirmed admissions for 71,130 undergraduate students for the academic year 2025–26, nearly filling its total capacity of 71,624 seats across 79 programmes in 69 colleges. The announcement comes following the release of the third round of seat allocations under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).
Over 71,000 Admissions Confirmed
As per university data, 34,069 candidates opted to upgrade their college and course preferences in the third round, while 35,889 chose to freeze their previous allotments. Following these requests, 5,930 students were successfully upgraded to a higher preference.
Candidates who received allotments in this round must accept their seats and complete the fee payment process by August 7. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the allocated seat. Colleges are currently handling the document verification and fee submission processes.

Mid-Entry Window From August 8 To 10
DU will release a list of vacant seats on August 8, which will kick off the Mid-Entry window for new applicants and previously rejected candidates. This window opens at 5 PM on August 8 and closes at 4:59 PM on August 10.
The Mid-Entry provision allows:
- Candidates who missed the initial CSAS application.
- Applicants who did not complete Phase 2.
- Students whose applications were rejected due to document issues or subject mapping errors.
Such candidates can re-enter the admission process by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000 and correcting their application during the window.

Final Phase Of UG Admissions
After the Mid-Entry phase, the next seat allocation list will be released on August 13. This round will include candidates from performance-based courses such as Music, BFA, and Physical Education, as well as CW (Children of War Widows), ECA, Sports, and Ward quota applicants.
The first list for these quotas will be published on August 15, and the entire admission process will conclude on August 19. No new admissions will be accepted beyond this date.
Delhi University began its academic session for undergraduate programmes on August 1, in line with the UGC’s academic calendar guidelines.
