India on Tuesday expressed concern over the latest Israeli airstrikes in Qatar’s capital, Doha, and called for actions that could destabilise peace and security in the region.

Responding to reports of the Israeli attack that targeted senior Hamas leaders in Doha, the Ministry of External Affairs in a statement said, “We have seen reports about the Israeli strikes in Doha earlier today. We are deeply concerned by this development and its impact on the security situation in the region.”

The MEA also urged all parties to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic solutions to avoid further escalation.

“We strongly urge restraint and diplomacy, so that peace and security in the region is not endangered,” the statement added.
