Close Shave For 30 Students As Andhra School Bus Driver Suffers Heart Attack, Hits Two-Wheeler

Nearly 30 students on a school bus escaped a major accident after the driver of the vehicle suffered a heart attack while on the wheels.

The incident happened in Andhra Pradesh’s Vijayawada, while the school bus was travelling from Ramavarapadu to Gunadala.

The bus hit a two-wheeler and a divider on the road.

Soon after the accident, the traffic police and locals present on the spot performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on the driver and rushed him to a hospital.

He was under treatment.

A video of the accident showed the driver lying down on the bus, while others were assisting with CPR.

The two-wheeler rider and the pillion rider were injured in the accident, the video showed.

In a separate incident, at least 20 to 25 passengers were injured after a Rajasthan Roadways bus overturned near Taran village on the Tonk-Sawai Madhopur road in Tonk on Tuesday.

Sadar Police Officer Jaymal Singh told news agency ANI that the bus was travelling from Sawai Madhopur to Jaipur when the accident occurred.

The exact cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained.

Separately, five people died and at least 15 others were injured in two road accidents in Jharkhand’s Godda and Ramgarh districts on Monday.

The first accident took place in Ramgarh, after a passenger bus collided head-on with a truck at Chattar village around 10 am.

In the second incident in Godda, three members of a family died after their car overturned and fell into a roadside ditch at Sheetal village, Mahagama SDPO Chandrasekhar Azad told news agency PTI.
