The American short-seler company had accused Gautam Adani and his companies (such as Adani Ports and Adani Power) of manipulation of the stock market.
On 24 January 2023, Hindonburg Research released a report, in which the Adani Group was made several allegations ranging from money laundering to share manipulation. By January 25, the market value of the shares of the group was reduced by about $ 12 billion (Rs 1 lakh crore).

2. CBI filed a charge sheet against Anil Ambani: Former CEO of Yes Bank Rana Kapoor is also accused; Allegations of fraud of ₹ 2,796 crore

The CBI has filed two separate charge sheet against Anil Ambani and others on Thursday, 18 September in the fraud case with Yes Bank. They are alleged to have alleged fake transactions between Ambani’s group companies and former CEO Rana Kapoor’s family companies, causing a loss of Rs 2,796 crore to the bank.
The CBI says that Rana Kapoor misuses his position to put the funds of Yes Bank in Ambani’s financially weak companies- RCFL and RHFL. In turn, Ambani’s companies gave loans and investment to the Kapoor family companies at low interest. It was a Kwid Pro Quo (deal of transaction).

Maruti’s small cars such as Alto K10, S-Presso, Celerio, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Baleno, Froncs and Ignis will get the benefit of 11% GST cut. At the same time, Maruti Ertiga, XL6 and Grand Vitara are more than 4 meters long, so they will get only 5% discount.
