The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has announced the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026. Several students from Bihar achieved notable ranks in this exam. These include Paridhi Shrestha, Rudraveer, Tathagata, Jiya, Chaitanya, Shivangi, Shivali, Raj, Shanvi, Nitya, Siddharth, Diya, Aarav, Devendra, Sakshi Singh, Harsh, Shubhang, Shanbhi Kashyap, Kaustubi, Sanvi, Raj Nandini, Alka, Shivansh, Sundaram, Advika, Zahra, Aditi Nayan, Smriti, Piyush, and Akshita.
Among them, Yashvardhan, a student at Law Prep Tutorials in Patna, excelled in CLAT 2026, securing the 26th rank nationwide with a score of 107.75 marks. He emerged as the top scorer not only in Bihar but also in the entire East Zone.
Yashvardhan shared that he studied for six to seven hours daily, focusing on his weaker subjects and taking over 100 mock tests to understand the exam pattern better, reported News18 Hindi. His father, Subhash Kumar, is a joint registrar in the Cooperative Department, while his mother, Sandhya Kumari, is a homemaker. Yashvardhan resides in Nitibag, Patna, and his native place is Maksudpur Kararia in Sheohar district.
Bihar students performed significantly well in CLAT 2026. Out of the 5,434 students from Bihar who registered, 5,308 appeared for the exam, with over 70 per cent being successful. For the UG (5-year LLB) programme, 4,909 students appeared with a 70 per cent success rate. For the PG (LLM) programme, 399 students appeared, with a success rate of approximately 72 per cent. Additionally, two students from Bihar secured positions in the top 100 in CLAT PG.
In Jharkhand, Shaurya Shahdev from Ranchi performed exceptionally well in CLAT 2026, topping the state with a score of 108 out of 120 and securing an All India Rank of 22. Other notable achievers include Namsit Mittal with an All India Rank of 170 and State Rank of 2, Aporb Raj with an All India Rank of 361, Sanchari Mukherjee with a Rank of 365, and Yash Agarwal with a Rank of 370. Stuti Khalkho brought pride to the state by securing the top rank in the ST category.
