Budget session: Opposition’s protest on NEET student rape-death case: Tejashwi reached the House despite being unwell; Economic survey will be presented on the first day – Bihar News




Today i.e. Monday is the first day of the budget session of Bihar Assembly, where the economic survey will be presented by the government. Before the commencement of the proceedings, the opposition demonstrated over the NEET student rape-death case. Congress MLA Kamrul Hoda was seen protesting in the assembly premises with a poster in his hand. Their demand is that the matter should be included in the Governor’s address. Meanwhile, RJD MLA Bhai Virendra accused the government of doing politics on the matter. He demanded hanging of the culprits. Here, Deputy CM Vijay Sinha said, ‘The case has been handed over to CBI, the accused will not be spared.’ Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has undergone operation on his toe, despite this he has participated in the proceedings of the session. Today the session will begin with Governor Arif Mohammad Khan addressing the joint session of the Assembly and Legislative Council. On February 3, Finance Minister Bijendra Yadav will present the budget for the financial year 2026-27. The Governor’s address will be discussed and voted on on 5 February.
