US strikes targeted infrastructure sites in southern Iran, including an airport, a railway station and bridges, Iranian state media reported on Friday, as Washington carried out a sixth consecutive night of attacks against Tehran.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest strikes were aimed at “further degrading Iranian military capabilities”.
Iranian outlets, however, reported damage to transport and communication infrastructure as well as civilian areas.
Iran Reports Strikes On Bridges, Rail Station And Airport
Iranian state media said strikes hit several locations across the country, including the southern provinces near the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s state-run IRIB reported that explosions were heard near Iranshahr Airport in southeastern Iran, with at least one US projectile hitting the facility. Tasnim news agency also reported that US fighter jets launched a missile attack on the airport.
In the port city of Bandar Abbas, Iranian media said a railway station was hit in a US strike, injuring two employees. Mehr news agency reported that the Bandar Abbas Railway Junction Station was targeted.
Iranian officials also reported strikes on two bridges in Hormozgan province near Bandar Khamir. Local authorities said the attacks killed two people and injured four others, while transport routes connecting Bandar Abbas, Khamir and Lar were closed following the damage.

Further explosions were reported in southern Iran, including on Qeshm Island, as well as in Bushehr and Ahvaz, according to Iranian media reports. Tasnim also reported that a communications tower in Bandar Abbas was targeted, causing a power outage and leaving seven people injured.
Trump Warned Of Strikes On Iran Infrastructure
The latest strikes came two days after US President Donald Trump warned that Washington could expand its military campaign by targeting key infrastructure in Iran if Tehran did not return to negotiations.
Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday, Trump said US action would include attacks on “power plants” and “bridges” unless Iran agreed to talks.
“Next week it gets really bad for them because next week comes the power plants. Next week comes the bridges,” Trump said. “We’re going to knock out all their power plants. We’re going to knock out all their bridges unless they get to the table and negotiate.”
The reported strikes mark the sixth straight night of US military action against Iran.
The escalation has also raised concerns across the Gulf region. Kuwait said it detected 32 “hostile drones” in its airspace on Friday, while the US Embassy in Baghdad advised American citizens in Iraq to remain alert following a reported drone attack near Erbil.
