Prime Minister Narendra Modi began closely watched bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in New Delhi, with border security and trade relations expected to be in focus amid a thaw in diplomatic relations.

Modi and Xi shared a warm handshake before the bilateral talks began. The Prime Minister welcomed Xi Jinping for his first India visit in seven years and thanked him for his constructive remarks at the BRICS Summit.
