Dehradun make mini border

To bring the film alive on screen, the makers made Dehradun, Uttarakhand their main base. A huge set was prepared in Halduwala area located in Santla Devi and Maldevta area here, in which the border of India was shown on one side and Pakistan on the other side. During the shooting, the scene here looked like a real ‘Forward Border Post’, where bunkers, military vehicles, tanks and tents of soldiers were deployed all around. Sunny Deol himself reached here on three different occasions and completed the shooting of his important scenes.

Border 2 was shot in remote areas of the country.

Apart from the aggressive war scenes, the natural beauty of Rishikesh and Rajaji Tiger Reserve has also been woven into the film, which gives the audience a relaxing experience amidst the tension of war. At the same time, the military areas of Babina Cantonment in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh were used to make the scenes of rumbling of tanks and heavy shelling authentic. Apart from this, the story of the film takes us from the training of NDA in Pune to the borders of Amritsar and Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir Leads to dusty outposts. The purpose of choosing these real locations was not just for cosmetic beauty, but to show how our soldiers live their lives in the most challenging areas of the country.
