The central government announced a bonus to its central employees on Diwali. The Finance Ministry issued an order and informed about this. A 30-day productivity-linked bonus (PLB) has been approved for central employees.
The Finance Ministry said that Group C and Non Gazetted Group B employees will be given ‘Ed-Hawk Bonus’ equivalent to a 30-day salary for 2024-25. The amount of this bonus has been fixed at Rs 6,908.
Which employees will get the benefit of bonus?
- By 31 March 2025, the job employees who have worked for 6 months continuously, will be entitled to bonus.
- If an employee is not able to work throughout the year, he will get a bonus according to the months of his working months.
- The bonus will also be given to the central paramilitary forces and eligible employees of the armed forces.
- Employees working on salary structure of the central government in union territories, who do not get other bonuses, will be entitled to it.
- Ed-Hawk Employees, who do not have any kind of break in their service, can also get bonuses.
- In the last three years, casual laborers working for scheduled days will get a bonus of Rs 1,184.
How will the calculation of bonus be?
The calculation of the bonus will be based on a maximum monthly salary of Rs 7,000. For example, a 30 -day bonus will be extracted like this …
7,000 × 30 ÷ 30.4 = 6,907.89 rupees (Round of 6,908 rupees).
Some special things related to bonus –
This bonus will be available only to those employees who are in jobs till 31 March 2025. At the same time, before this date, the employees who took retirement, resigned and those who have passed away will also be entitled to bonuses to complete at least 6 months regular service.
If an employee is on deputation in another institution, the bonus will be found from the institution where they are working. The amount of bonus will always be rounded off in the rupee.
