US President Donald Trump has thrown his full support behind Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging Israelis to re-elect him and warning that the United States may have to handle the fight against Iran on its own if Netanyahu loses.
In a post on Truth Social addressed to the people of Israel, Trump praised Netanyahu as a strong and brave leader, calling him a “Great Warrior Prime Minister”. He said Netanyahu had stood firm despite facing opposition and had become stronger under pressure.
Trump said he was giving Netanyahu his “Complete and Total Endorsement” for re-election, adding that the Israeli leader would never let the people down.
Trump Warns US May Have To Handle Iran Alone
Trump said that if Israel chose a leader other than Netanyahu, the United States might have to take responsibility for the work itself.
“If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves,” Trump wrote, adding that he was not inclined to take that route.
He also warned Iran against continuing its current course, claiming that the country had been weakened militarily and financially. Trump said the United States would continue its efforts if Iran did not change its behaviour quickly.
Trump Praises Netanyahu’s Leadership
Trump described Netanyahu as a leader who had remained strong during difficult times. He also highlighted the Israeli prime minister’s role in confronting Iran, portraying him as a key partner for the United States.
Reiterating his support, Trump urged the people of Israel not to let Netanyahu down, saying the prime minister would not let them down either.
