Bharat Taxi app is being launched from the new year i.e. 1 January 2026. This is a government supported app, which will be beneficial for both passengers and drivers. Auto-rickshaw, car and bike services will be available in the app. Users will be able to choose any option as per their need.
In apps like Ola and Uber, fares suddenly increase during peak hours, causing inconvenience to passengers. This will not happen in Bharat Taxi app. Efforts will be made to keep the fare stable. This app is part of a government initiative, so passengers will get affordable and reliable service.
Drivers get more than 80% of the fare
Drivers will get more than 80% of the total fare. That means, drivers’ earnings will increase. Currently, most of the private apps charge higher commission, which reduces the drivers’ earnings. Even before the launch, about 56,000 drivers have registered in Delhi.
Real-time vehicle tracking will be available in taxis.
Like other apps, real-time vehicle tracking will be available in Bharat Taxi app too. For safety and reliability, the platform will onboard only verified drivers and provide 24-hour customer support. The app will support many Indian languages.
How is Bharat Taxi different from Ola-Uber?
There will be no surge pricing: In Ola-Uber, the fare suddenly increases by 2-3 times during peak time or rain. Efforts will be made to keep fares stable in Bharat Taxi, so that passengers do not have to pay expensive fares.
Drivers earn more: Drivers in Bharat Taxi will get more than 80% of the total fare. In Ola-Uber, commission is deducted more, due to which the net earnings of the drivers remain less.
Government support and trust: Bharat Taxi is part of a government initiative, so there will be more transparency and regulation. Ola-Uber are completely private companies.
