A Sikh bus driver was allegedly attacked and forcibly removed from his vehicle in England’s Telford before the bus was taken and driven into oncoming traffic. The incident, which was captured on video, left the driver with minor injuries.
A video capturing the assault has surfaced on social media platform X. The footage appears to show the suspect repeatedly assaulting the Sikh driver, including striking his head and pulling his beard. A woman recording the incident can be heard asking, “Why are you touching him like that?”

The driver is then heard asking for help, saying, “Can you call the police, please?”
Police said the driver was treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
West Mercia Police said officers were called to Court Street in Madeley at around 6:37 pm on Friday after receiving a report that a bus driver had been assaulted.
According to police, the attacker took control of the bus after removing the driver and drove it on the wrong side of the road, striking several vehicles before the journey came to an end.
A 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of robbery and dangerous driving. Police said he remained in custody and was due to appear before Telford Magistrates’ Court.
Detective Sergeant Taigh Lannie said the incident may have alarmed people in the area and assured residents that officers responded promptly.
“We understand this will have been an alarming incident for those in the area this evening. I’d like to reassure the community that officers responded quickly and a man has been arrested and remains in police custody,” he said.
Lannie urged witnesses and anyone with relevant recordings to contact investigators.
“Our enquiries are continuing, and we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or may have footage that could assist us. In particular, we’d ask anyone with dashcam, CCTV, mobile phone or doorbell footage from the Court Street, Park Way or High Street areas around the time of the incident to please check their recordings and contact police.”
