BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla’s statement
On the accident, BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla said that whatever help can be done, we will definitely do it. I am constantly talking to the Karnataka government. We are also seriously talking about this issue at the BCCI level. There should be no politics regarding this sad incident. Such incidents can happen anywhere, so its solution is possible only with collective efforts.

He said that I am in touch with my franchise, Karnataka government and police officers. All together are engaged in handling the situation and deciding the further strategy. Rajiv Shukla said, cricket is a game, politics should not have any place in it. No one had imagined it in a league like IPL. We are with all the affected families and committed to provide all possible help.

Accidents connected video becoming viral
Some videos related to the incident have surfaced, in which it can be seen that the crowd of fans outside the stadium became uncontrollable and climbed on a steep car. During this time the car was badly damaged. This entire case has raised serious questions about crowd control, preparations for the event and security. Now the administration has started investigating the case and a detailed report of the entire incident has been summoned, so that it can be ascertained where the lapse occurred and how to avoid such incidents.

How did the accident happen?
In fact, thousands of RCB fans were engaged to cheer their team and get a glimpse of the winning players outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Meanwhile, a large part of the crowd climbed on the temporary slab placed above a drain there.

According to eyewitnesses, the slab could not tolerate such heavy weight and suddenly broke. As soon as the slab broke, there was chaos and a stampede situation arose on the spot. Many people were injured in this accident.

A special program was organized by Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in honor of RCB players. A large number of people gathered outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium to see this ceremony. What did Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar say?
Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar reacted to the Chinnaswamy Stadium accident and said, “I cannot confirm the exact number of dead or injured.” I myself am leaving for the occasion.

He informed that more than 5000 security personnel were deployed for the program and the situation is constantly being monitored. The deputy CM assured that detailed information will be shared soon after complete review of the situation.

Former Chief Minister and JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy has expressed deep grief over the Chinnaswamy Stadium accident and has raised questions on the preparations of the state government. Kumaraswamy has demanded the best treatment to the injured and immediate compensation to the families of the deceased. Along with this, he has appealed to the administration that emergency arrangements should be implemented with immediate effect to safely bring home to the huge crowds around the stadium and Vidhan Saudha.
