US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that any attack on a ship in the Strait of Hormuz will trigger an American military response.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said that from this point onward, if the Islamic Republic of Iran fires at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz “by Missile, Rocket, Drone, or any other device or weapon”, the United States would “bomb and destroy ONE BRIDGE OR POWER PLANT”, including targets “located next to, or in, the Capital City of Tehran.”
The warning marks one of Trump’s strongest public threats yet amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran.
