The medal rush continues in archery with the men’s team clinching Asiad silver on Friday

The Indian men’s recurve archery team secured the silver medal at the Asian Games after losing to regional powerhouse South Korea at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Multipurpose Square on Friday. India lost 1-5.

The trio of Dhiraj Bommadevara, Yashdeep Bhoge and Neeraj Chauhan became the third Indian team today to secure an Asiad medal after the women’s team won a historic gold, followed by the mixed team claiming a maiden silver.
India had blanked Iran 6-0 in the last-four-stage to make it to the men’s team final.
They defeated Iran’s team that included Mohammadhossein Golshani, Sadegh Ashrafi and Reza Shabani 58-53, 56-53, 56-55.
Korea had earlier defeated Chinese Taipei 6-0 in the other semi-final.
Earlier this morning, the Indian women’s recurve team produced a sensational performance to stun 10-time Olympic champions South Korea for its maiden Asian Games gold. Later, the mixed team claimed a silver as archers continued a strong showing in the Games.
