Infosys has named company veteran Ashiss Kumar Dash as its next chief executive officer, setting the stage for a leadership change at one of India’s biggest IT services companies. The board has appointed Dash as CEO-designate, and he will officially take over as Managing Director and CEO on April 1, 2027.
Dash will succeed Salil Parekh, whose second term as CEO comes to an end after more than nine years at the helm. Until then, Parekh will continue leading the company and work closely with Dash to ensure a smooth handover.
The announcement puts the spotlight on a leader who has spent more than three decades at Infosys, taking on a wide range of roles across customer engagement, business delivery and global operations. His long journey within the company is one of the key reasons the board has trusted him with leading Infosys into its next phase.
Currently, Dash serves as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability. In this role, he oversees a business portfolio covering more than a dozen industry verticals and works with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies on large-scale digital transformation projects.

Over the years, Dash has played a key role in helping clients adopt emerging technologies while also focusing on operational efficiency, revenue growth and innovation. Infosys says he has been instrumental in promoting AI-led transformation and preparing teams for the future of work.
The timing of his appointment is significant as AI continues to reshape the global technology industry. In his first statement after being named CEO-designate, Dash made it clear that AI will remain central to Infosys’ strategy.
“Technology is entering a new era, with AI fundamentally reshaping how businesses operate and create value. Infosys begins this next phase from a position of enormous strength—with a clearly articulated AI strategy, exceptional talent, deep client relationships, and values that have earned the trust of customers globally. My commitment is to build on those strengths while accelerating innovation, expanding our capabilities and helping our clients succeed in an increasingly AI-driven world,” he said in a statement.
Beyond his operational responsibilities, Dash has also represented Infosys on several global platforms. He has contributed to discussions on energy transition and sustainable development at the World Economic Forum and the UN’s Global Investors for Sustainable Development Alliance. He also represented the company at the B20 Summit 2023, the official G20 business forum.
Dash serves on the boards of several Infosys-owned businesses, including Health Sigma, Simplus, Blue Acorn iCi and Infosys Public Services. He is also a trustee of Infosys Foundation USA, which works to expand access to computer science education and digital skills.
An alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, Dash has also completed Stanford University’s Global Leadership Program. Based in Los Angeles, he is an avid reader and enjoys running, swimming and practicing mindfulness. As Infosys prepares for its next chapter, the company is betting on an experienced insider to guide its AI-driven future.
