Infosys, the country’s second largest IT services company, has appointed Ashish Kumar Dash as its new CEO. The company announced this leadership change with the first quarter results on July 23, 2026. He will replace current CEO and MD Salil Parikh. He will take over as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director from April 1, 2027. His tenure will be for 5 years, which will last till March 31, 2032. The company’s profit increased by 12.2% to Rs 7,769 crore. In the June quarter, the company’s consolidated net profit increased by 12.2% on an annual basis to Rs 7,769 crore, which was Rs 6,921 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. There has been a decline of 8.6% in the company’s net profit as compared to Rs 8,501 crore in the previous quarter. Revenue increased by 14% to ₹ 48,211 crore. Infosys’ revenue increased by 14% to ₹ 48,211 crore on an annual basis. In the same period a year ago, the company had achieved revenue of Rs 42,279 crore. If seen on quarterly basis (QoQ), the company’s revenue has registered an increase of 4%. In the fourth quarter (March quarter) of the last financial year, the company’s revenue was Rs 46,402 crore. Salil Parekh said – Company’s income doubled in 8 years. MD and CEO Salil Parekh, who is leaving his post, said that it has been a great honor for him to lead Infosys in the last eight years. During this period, the company’s revenue has doubled from $10 billion to more than $20 billion. Salil Parekh further said that we have strengthened our position in the field of digital transformation and have prepared a distinct strategy for AI transformation. Having worked with Ashish for many years, I have closely observed his honesty, customer-centricity and ability to lead in times of change. He has a deep understanding of our customers, business and employees. I am confident that he will successfully lead Infosys into the next phase of transformation. Ashish Kumar said – Infosys is starting a new era strongly. On receiving the new responsibility, Ashish Kumar Dash said that technology is now entering a new era, where AI is completely changing the way of doing business and creating value. Infosys is starting this new phase with great strength. We have a clear AI strategy, great talent, deep relationships with customers, and values that have won trust around the world. Ashish joined 31 years ago as Senior Engagement Manager. Ashish Kumar has spent a long time of almost 31 years in Infosys. He started his career in the company in 1995 as a Senior Engagement Manager. Over time, he rose to the position of Executive Vice President (EVP) and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability. Leading more than 12 industry verticals, just before becoming CEO, Ashish was serving as Executive Vice President and Global Head of Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy and Enterprise Sustainability. In this position, he led a business portfolio of more than 12 industry verticals. He helped Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies adopt AI, cloud, and digital transformation technologies.
