APPSC Recruitment 2025: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released the notification for the recruitment of Forest Beat Officer (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officer (ABO) positions within the Forest Department. Interested and eligble candidates can start submitting their application forms online from tomorrow, July 16, with the deadline for submission being August 5, 2025.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 691 vacancies, including 256 for Forest Beat Officers and 435 for Assistant Beat Officers, with positions reserved for Meritorious Sportspersons (MSP).
According to the official notice, if the number of applicants exceed 200 times the number of vacancies, the commission will conduct a screening test. Candidates will then be shortlisted for the Main Examination as per merit in a ratio to be decided by the commission. Both the Screening and Main Examination will be objective type and held in offline (OMR based) mode. The dates for both Screening and Main Examination will be announced separately.
APPSC Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination or its equivalent.
Age Limit: Applicants must be within the age range of 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2025. Age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Step 1: Candidates need to go to the official site of the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission at psc.ap.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the link available on the home page that says, “APPSC FBO/ABO Recruitment 2025″.
Step 3: Once done, candidates will be redirected to a new page.
Step 4: Key in the registration details and log into your account.
Step 5: Fill out the application form as directed and upload the required documents in the prescribed size and format.
Step 6: Pay the application fees and submit the form.
Step 7: Download the confirmation page and print a hard copy of the same.
APPSC Recruitment 2025: Salary Details
The salary for Forest Beat Officer will be between Rs 25,220 to Rs 80,910 and for Assistant Beat Officer, it will be between Rs 23,120 to Rs 74,770.
