The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education has rescheduled the DSC or District Selection Committee 2025 teacher recruitment exams. Initially set for June 20 and 21, the exams has been deferred to July 1 and 2. The department will also issue fresh hall tickets on June 25.
“MEGA DSC-2025 examinations scheduled on 20.06.2025 and 21.06.2025 have been postponed to 01.07.2025 and 02.07.2025. Please download the revised hall-tickets 25.06.2025 onwards,” reads the official notice.
According to the official notification on the AP DSC website, this exam date has been revised to avoid logistical disruptions due to large-scale arrangements for International Yoga Day celebrations in Visakhapatnam on June 21.

This recruitment process aims to fill 16,347 teaching positions across Andhra Pradesh. Of the total vacancies, 14,088 are at the district level, while 2,259 are for state or zonal level positions.

Government, Zilla Parishad, Mandal Parishad, Municipality, Municipal Corporation, Department of Welfare of Differently Able, Juvenile Welfare Department vacancies, Andhra Pradesh Model Schools, Residential Schools, Social Welfare Department Schools, BC Welfare Department Schools, Tribal Welfare Department Gurukulam Schools and Ashram Schools will be filled in this MEGA DSC.
Online applications were accepted from April 20 to May 15. The recruitment involves Computer-Based Tests (CBTs) scheduled between June 6 and July 6.
Candidates must be between 18 and 44 years of age to be eligible for this recruitment. This recruitment drive and the introduction of an annual job calendar were key promises made by the TDP-led NDA government during the 2024 elections.
AP DSC Recruitment 2025: Exam Marking Scheme
For candidates applying to SGT (Secondary Grade Teacher) posts, the marking scheme is as follows:
General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 8 marks
Perspectives in Education – 4 marks
Educational Psychology – 8 marks
Content & Methodologies – 60 marks (40+20)
Total: 80 marks
For SGT (Special Education) posts, the marking scheme features:
General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 8 marks
Perspectives in Education – 4 marks
Educational Psychology – 8 marks
Category of Disability Specialization – 20 marks
Content & Methodologies – 40 marks (25+15)
Total: 80 marks
