Dubey told that after the final, all the flights going to Mumbai were full. It was also possible to go by road, but train was a faster option. He wanted to meet his four-year-old son Ayaan and two-year-old daughter Mehvish, who were at home in Mumbai, as soon as possible.
Police helped at Borivali station
When the train was about to reach Mumbai’s Borivali station after a journey of about eight hours, Dubey started worrying about the crowd. He asked for help from the police. After getting a police escort, he was able to exit the station safely.
Played the role of finisher in the tournament
Dubey played the role of finisher in the T-20 World Cup. He scored 235 runs in the tournament, with an average of 39 and a strike rate of 169. In the final too, he played an important role in taking India’s score beyond 250 by hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes in the last over.
